The trail of Besso follow very technical itineraries with vertiginous passages (10m of light climbing).
Starting from Zinal(1674m) a good path will lead you to the mountain pass of Sorebois (2836m) where is the 1st aid station. Follow the mountain ridge until the summit of the Garde de Bordon, highest point (3309m).
From the top we go down in the dale of Moiry with a checkpoint in Châteaupré(2352m) then we cross the ice glacier of Moiry to reach the hut of Moiry(2825m) 2nd aid station.
Small climbing to the mountain pass of Pigne de la Lé(3137m) and the big downhill until the hut of du Petit Mountet(2139m) 3st aid station and checkpoint. Ascent of the Zinal glacier to the hut of Grand Mountet(2886m) et un 4th well-deserved aid station... Downhill on the official path to the Arpitettaz bridge(1910m) with the last cutt off time. From there we climb to the Arpitettaz hut(2786m) 5th aid station then we have to cross the mountain pass of Milon(2975m) to reach in a last effort the Tracuit hut(3259m) the last aid station. Just a small downhill (-1600m) and we are back to Zinal.
